I met Riley in 2020 when I took on my very first commercial client. I had agreed to provide personal branding sessions for a local business wanting to update their website with fresh profile images of each staff member. Although Riley was part of that staff, the personal branding session wasn’t our first interaction. While I was on site one day, we chatted briefly about her idea to surprise her mom with a family photo shoot. So, I actually didn’t get to know Riley until I worked with her during this family photo session that she and her sister had gifted to their mother.
I knew when I heard her tell her dad to smile with his eyes, she was my girl!
I was later able to work with her again for her personal branding session. After that session, she - I believe maybe half jokingly - offered to model for future shoots if I ever needed someone. Well, she has been my go-to creative partner since then for every trial run of every setup I have needed help with.
